MPOG App Suite Release – November 2025
How to apply the upgrade:
The upgrade package will be sent to each site’s IT contact.
• For sites using Desktop Virtualization (e.g. Citrix), your IT team will upgrade the App
Suite.
• For sites where the App Suite is installed on PCs, your IT team will distribute the installer
to all individuals after the database upgrade has been applied.
o Once you have received the installer from your IT team, follow the installation
instructions here.
• After applying the upgrade, please confirm that you are using the current version by
clicking ‘About’ in the upper right corner. If your version does not match the below
screenshot, please contact support@mpog.zendesk.com.
INFRASTRUCTURE
•
Updated labels for CPT codes submitted as part of the hospital discharge diagnoses file
(and currently labeled as a discharge billing code) to be listed as "unspecified anesthesia
professional fee"

Intraop, preop, and outcomes notes text values now no longer are truncated to 255
characters
•
Patient table now includes dedicated columns for race and ethnicity
•
Fixed a bug where registry data was not included in the upload
TRANSFER TO MPOG CENTRAL

Variable mappings are now included in uploading to MPOG Central
•
BRI (Blinded Record Index) has been renamed to PPRL (Privacy Protecting Record
Linking) in the interface

Record search box has been made larger. Also includes text wrapping and ‘X’ button to
clear the search

Floor/ICU documentation is now available in the Table View tab
•
Logic for cardiopulmonary bypass timing window has been updated to more closely
match the MPOG phenotype

Record search presets now include the ‘mpog:’ prefix to help narrow search results to
MPOG concepts.

Fixed a bug where the Microbiology tab would display improperly and would have part
of the previous tab still showing.
CASE VALIDATION

• Fixed a crash bug caused by multiple instance IDs using the same organization ID

Added variable details for the Patient Attributes data type under the "Examine" button
DATA DIAGNOSTICS
• Fixed a bug where certain lab diagnostics would not refresh
• Fixed a bug where the diagnostic graph would not properly update after selecting a
Location
• The Fluid Unit Mapping diagnostic previously assessed unit mapping for both inputs and
outputs. This could cause the graph results to show ‘Poor’ performance due to some
outputs not having an associated unit. This diagnostic has been updated to no longer
include outputs.
IMPORT MANAGER ASSISTANT
• Log tabs now default to past one month to improve performance
• Overview tab now automatically scrolls to the most recent month

CONTENT SYNCHRONIZATION
• New MPOG concept types are now supported for syncing. This fixes the issue where
sites could not successfully run Content Synchronization after an upgrade release until
the most recent upgrade was applied at the site.
